Free website spell checker
Paste the address of a published page. Verant reads it the way a visitor does and hands back every misspelling with the fix. No account for the first two pages.
2 pages free, plus one 5-page site preview. No card, no account.
It reads the page that shipped, not a draft
Your CMS, theme, and plugins all add words after you hit publish. The check runs on the result.
A scan visualized: Verant reads acme.com/pricing the way a visitor does and catches 3 issues in place — each flagged fragment quoted verbatim, with the correction shown beside it, ready to fix.
Paste a URL and Verant loads the page in a real browser, waits for it to render, and reads the visible copy top to bottom: headings, body, buttons, footers, the strings a theme fills in. Nothing to install, nothing to paste.
That is the difference from the spell checker in your editor. It sees the box you are typing in. This sees what a visitor sees, including copy no one has opened in months.
Every catch comes back quoted, with the fix
You get a short list, not a red squiggle.
A fixes ledger: each row names the page or tag, quotes the flagged text, and gives the correction beside it.
Each finding quotes the exact text on the page, names the kind of error, and gives the correction beside it. Copy it, paste it into your editor, done. Verant never changes your site.
Weak guesses are dropped before you see them. Leftover template copy is flagged as its own kind of finding, because "Lorem ipsum" is spelled correctly and a dictionary check waves it through. A page with nothing wrong says so.
One page is the sample. The site is the job.
The typos that cost you are on the pages nobody re-reads.
A finished full-site scan visualized: from one URL, the sitemap and the link harvest fill the crawl queue with the site's 10 pages laid out as its tree; each page is proofread in place and the run reports 7 fixes.
The site preview finds your pages from the sitemap and your own links and reads 5 of them. A paid plan reads all of them, up to 500 pages in one run, and can re-check the site every week so a fixed page stays fixed.
Same check on every page, same list at the end.

Frequently asked questions
Is the website spell checker free?
Yes. 2 single-page checks are free with no account, plus one 5-page preview of a full-site scan. After that a free account carries on, and paid plans add whole-site scans and weekly re-checks.
What does it check besides spelling?
The same read also catches grammar, punctuation, awkward style, unclear sentences, and leftover placeholder copy such as "Lorem ipsum" or "your text here". It does not check links, facts, accessibility, or SEO tags.
Does it change anything on my site?
No. Verant only reads the page. Every finding quotes your exact text with a suggested fix, and the change is yours to make in your own editor.
Why is there a limit without an account?
Each check renders a real page in a browser and runs the proofread, which costs us money per page. Two free pages show you the result; an account keeps the free tier fair for everyone.
Can it check a page behind a login?
No. It reads public pages only, the same ones a visitor or a search engine can open.
